Our Beginning
Artist Eye was founded by Tanith Yates, an artist and designer passionate about the power of artistic expression. On a trip to Reykjavik in 2017, she discovered the collection of rich urban murals blanketing the city, and saw an opportunity to take meaningful art and explore it differently, make it more immersive and emotive, use it to speak louder. She established Artist Eye, a project- and community-based collaborative, to support storytelling and promote local arts and music, diversity, and cultural awareness through the use of augmented and mix-media technology.

Our Mission
Artist Eye honors culturally significant artwork across the globe. We provide access to immersive technology and collaborative partners, helping to reinvent original designs through new mediums that enrich storytelling and the creator’s original concept, history, or journey.
We strive to:
Support international artists and musicians at the hyper-local level to explore new technology for communicating and expressing personal stories
Bring together artists and designers from diverse communities and practices
Create immersive, vibrant, and entertaining art experiences for visiting tourists and adventurists
Grow and build cultural awareness through storytelling, music, technology and art
Inspire the generation of new art forms, merging traditional and contemporary approaches and tools
